I am a Fashion Design graduate/alumni from the University Of Johannesburg, South Africa. Prior to pursuing a career in fashion design, I taught myself how to sketch and design clothing collections, 2 years before finishing high school. Thereafter, I went to study at the London International School Of Fashion (now known as STADIO School Of Design). The 2 years spent studying at LISOF has molded my career & creativity within the fashion industry in the most impactive way. 

During and after my fashion studies, I was coached and mentored by renowned conceptual South African Menswear designer, Roman Handt.

I’ve participated in many fashion design competitions throughout my fashion design career. Some of my achievements include being a semi-finalist in the Bridal Africa Young Designers Awards. In my final year of my fashion studies at the University Of Johannesburg, my graduation collection was awarded the Best Final Year Collection in 2013 – 2014. In 2017, I received a special invitation by UJ FADA (Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture)’s Dean to exhibit a collection at the University Of Johannesburg’s Alumni Exhibition. I also had an opportunity to collaborate and showcase with Roman Handt on some SA Fashion Week seasonal collections after finishing my studies.

I am a creative person with versatile skills within the fashion industry. I am very passionate towards my work, which include designing, sketching (by hand or digitally), patternmaking, stitching, fashion illustrations, printing, fashion photography and surface development.

 

My design style is characterized and inspired by many innovative solutions and structures within modern technology, graphics, different sporting codes and evolving human form. I also see my design style leaning towards wearable art as I enjoy creating exaggerated silhouettes, combined with staple pieces allowing everyday women and men to feel fashion forward while still having functionality.

I am an innovative Fashion designer with over 13 years of experience creating powerful designs in the fashion industry. I am always dedicated to remaining up to date with the latest trends, while offering ideas and visuals to spark new trends. Bringing forth true love of fashion and design.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of incredible projects that have allowed me to grow and establish myself in this competitive industry. I have a proven history of successful collaborations with clients and other like-minded creatives to deliver specialized projects.
